  1. Who is ABC Swimming? ABC Swimming Is powered by the Rothwell Swim Academy. Angela and Justin Rothwell started Rothwell Swim Academy in 2002. In 2008 we have changed our name to ABC Swimming.
  2. Why ABC? After the birth of our own children we realised how important ABC is to all growing children. First learning their ABC’s and then watching the ABC for kids educational programs. Abc  also reflects the systems we have in place which makes learning to swim easy and fun.
  3. Are you connected with ABC Learning Centres? No we are a professional family run business that focuses on swimming education.
  4. What times are available to learn?  Centres run 7 days between 9-12am and 3.30 – 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8 to 12am Saturday and Sunday.
  5. How long are the lessons? Beginners 30min, intermediate 45min and advanced 1 hour.
  6. How much are the lessons? The investment varies between programs, phone the swimschool  for the fee structure of the swimming centre you wish to attend.
  7. Do you have spots available?  Vacancies are changing all the time and we recomend ringing the swim school to check current positions available.
  8. When can I start? Today. Our program operates all year so you can start whenever you are ready. You book in one week before you are ready to start. The sooner you get started the earlier you reach your goals, and get the position you want.
  9. How do I book in? You book in over the phone. Ring the centre you wish to attend, one week before you want to start.
  10. How many times a week do you reccomend I attend lessons? The standard booking is once a week for ½ hour and for those who would like to accelerate the process twice a week for ½ hour.
  11. Do you have Holiday Programs? Yes we run a Holiday Program every school holidays to accelerate learning.
  12. How long will it take for me or my child to learn to swim? It depends on age, original ability, attendance and practice. Adults can learn as quick as 12 weeks. For children it varies due to age and attendance.
  13. How do I know if my child is good enough for the Olympics? The ABC Swimming School has had 5 swimmers represent Australia and they have had over 85 swimmers selected to represent NSW in swimming. Head Swimming Coach Justin Rothwell works with the Australian Swimming Team, NSW Institute of Sport and the NSW Swimming Team. Swimmers are exposed to new and highly specialised training programs. Obviously not every one can make the Olympic Team but if that is your dream then ABC Swimming is your Team!
